Are you curious about the top 5 makeup trends for the upcoming winter? Then keep reading!

1.      Sunburn Blush
First up is ‘Sunburn Blush’, which is currently a big trend on TikTok. The way you apply the blush is very important for this trend. Distribute pigment over your cheeks and nose to achieve an even color. Remember: you want to look a little sunburned, not like you desperately need aftersun. Less is more! Keep in mind that it’s always easier to add more blush than to take it away.

2.      Soap Brows
‘Soap Brows’ are exactly what they sound like: putting soap on your eyebrows. To achieve the look, you only need two things and just two steps. Here’s what you need:

  • A clear soap. White soap makes your eyebrows look like they have dandruff.
  • A clean eyebrow brush, also known as a mascara brush.

It’s very simple. Run your eyebrow brush over the wet soap until it lathers. Now brush your eyebrows upwards until you achieve the desired shape. From there, your eyebrows will hold their shape. Be careful not to overload your eyebrows with soap, or you’ll look like you just washed your face.

3.      Overlined Lips
Overlining the lips is a well-known trend that has been around for several years now. To create the illusion of fuller lips, the trick is to start by avoiding overlined lips. Begin within your natural lip line. This way, it stays realistic and matches your natural lip shape. Once the outer edges are defined, move towards the center of your mouth. So, start at the natural lip line and work your way out, outlining the lips and building volume until you achieve the desired result. Less is more! Finally, finish the lips with your favorite lipstick and/or lip gloss.

4.      Smokey Winged Eyeliner
Use a small, firm eyeshadow brush to take a well-pigmented eyeshadow of your choice and apply it tightly along the upper lash line. Pull the eyeshadow up at the outer corner and shape it into a wing. If necessary, go back over the line with more shadow to increase contrast and definition. If you want to clean up any blurry edges or enhance definition, take some concealer for under the eyes on a concealer brush and run it along the outer edge of the wing.

5.      Reverse Winged Eyeliner
Now we know the trend ‘Smokey Winged Eyeliner’, but another well-known trend is the ‘Reverse Winged Eyeliner’. The name says it all; it’s the opposite of a normal eyeliner. This application method creates a completely different look.

Take your favorite eyeliner pencil or liquid eyeliner and start on the lower lash line, along your natural eye line. At the outer corners of the lower lash line, pull the eyeliner upwards, so it creates a wing coming up from the lower lash line.

Now you’re up-to-date with the makeup trends for the upcoming winter. Try them out yourself!
